Live Editor not saving edits

The Live Editor gives a great view of the page/post, but does not save edits.
What is the point of this?
I’ve just wasted a lot of time and wish it had been made clear that this thing doesn’t save changes.

Or have I missed something.

Any ideas?

    Hi Tim,

    The Live Editor doesn’t directly save changes. Once you’ve made your desired changes, please click Done and then Save the page. The Live Editor is designed to be a quick and easy way to preview changes but by it still needs to be saved via the standard WordPress functionality.
