Live Editor not loading for front page

The Live Editor is working for most other pages, but for the front page, and one other with multiple items, it never loads. After the grey bar completes, all I get is the bouncing red ball. I’m using the Sydney theme, and this is happening with their sample content, with no changes. As suggested on other threads, I’ve disabled all other plugins, cleared the cache, with no change in the problem. Yesterday, I thought perhaps it was a slow internet connection at a coffee shop, but today, I’m on my home high speed internet. Suggestions?
