links not working

Hello Site Origin
I am using the page builder link option with a Visual Editor text box.
When i select certain pages to link to the http:// is showing but when i test the page and try the link i get a page not found and the url displays http// – no colon. I have tried cutting pasting the correct url vs picking from the page list, same result.

Any thoughts on why this may be happening. Also not happening on all links. Its a post which is not live yet.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi jojogrixti

Sorry to hear about the hassle. Please try testing with all plugins temporarily de-activated.

    Hi, I Work Here

De-activate all plugins at once but leave Black Studio TinyMCE and Page Builder activated. Then re-test. If the issue resolves, re-activate your plugins one by one, after each activation, check the problem again. If it is a plugin issue that should tell you which plugin is causing the problem.

Something odd happened it seemed to resolve itself – i closed out, even though i had been clearing cache thought it best to do a close of wordpress and come back to, the issue happened again, clear cache then tried again and suddenly started to work. I will remember to follow the above steps if it happens again.

btw has anyone mentioned urls changing? I have noticed urls have suddenly become “shorter” on some of my pages, not something i did. I recently update wordpress so wondering if a wordpress issue or site origin. any thoughts or recent comment s on this?

    thanks for your help

    Hi, I Work Here

Super, glad to hear that came right.

We haven’t come across any other url issues. Usually a url change would require some kind of change to Settings > Permalinks. If there is something we can assist with, please let us know. Off hand though I don’t know what might cause the shortening you’ve described.

    thanks

For sure. I also tried Googling that problem and didn’t come back with anything. Hopefully you can proceed with the new setup. Let us know if you need a further hand.

    All the best.
