Linking Vantage Premium in WordPress to Google Plus

(Sorry if there’s duplication here I though the other thread might have been closed.)

Hi Andrew,

Has the latest Vantage premium theme update fixed the Google Plus link problem. I still don’t seem to be able to get a custom youtube URL after following the linking instructions using the Google+ Author information plugin from WPbuddy or with any other plugin. Thanks for the help.

    No problem. Can you perhaps bring me up to speed here. Are you asking about a custom channel url (https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2657968?hl=en). If so, I’m not quite sure how that relates to your WordPress installation.

    Hi Andrew,

    I have solved the problem. There is no issue with Vantage Premium. It's the complicated way Google + keeps shifting sands. You can only create verified authorship with a Google + page not the Google + parent account.
    Once I made the page it worked fine. The explanations are poor. Thanks for the help. Tell your colleague Greg that it's fixed. I mistakenly made a double thread and anyway I told him I'd let him know if I fixed it. :).

    (Don’t get me started on this topic! Can’t comment on YouTube videos without a Google + account…aaaarrrg!)
