I had a similar problem yesterday. I was advised to download and run a plugin called File Manager (https://li.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-file-manager/). The problem was that there were parts of a plugin cluttering up my site. I could not install a clean version because of this and got a similar error message: Plugin installed failed. Destination folder already exists.
Run File Manager and look for old so-widgets-bundle” files in the plugins tab. Delete all the old associated files and then you should be able to install a clean copy. Good luck.
Hi, thanks for posting :)
Glad to hear you made progress.
Here is a good tutorial for the topic: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-destination-folder-already-exists-error-in-wordpress/
On another issue. Is your premium support service down? I normally receive an answer in a few hours. But now it’s been more than a day. Thanks.
Thanks for the follow-up, I’ll ask Alex to attend as soon as he’s back online.
