Hi there, no idea where to ask else so hopefully I’m right here.
I’m working in a WordPress Multisite environment, so my first question regarding licensing is how many do I need for a MultiSite?
One or depending on how many subsites are installed?
My 2nd question is regarding the SiteOrigin Widgets itself, as already explained above I’m using the widgets in a multisite environment with different domains for subsites. Looking at the source code of my websites I found out that although I’m working with several domains some entries of the widget are pointing to the primary site which is not desired (mixed domain content). I need a 100% separation of the websites (legal stuff).
This is also bad as long the primary site is for instant blocked for some reasons by proxy, siteorigin plugin won’t work here.
Below short example, I replaced origin domains by domain_a (primary) and domain_b (subsite):
Hi Marcus,
Thank you for your interest in SiteOrigin Premium! :)
License activation is dependent on the site URL so you’ll need a license for each site. If you decide to go with a business license at first, you can always upgrade to a developer license at a later date. For reference, here are the upgrade instructions:
1. Log into the SiteOrigin Order dashboard: Page: Dashboard
2. Click Order History.
3. Click View Licenses.
4. Click View Upgrades.
5. Click Upgrade License next to the desired license type.
You’ll pay a pro-rata amount base on the cost of the upgrade, minus how long you’ve had the license. In other words, you’ll never pay more than the initial license price minus the new license price but based on how close you are to renewal you may pay significantly less than this amount.
Regarding your second question, that shouldn’t be happening. Can you please link me to one of your websites where this is happening so I can inspect it? Can you please clarify if you’re using a non-standard domain setup or any non-standard WordPress configuration setup to work with your domain setup? I ask because it’s possible we aren’t factoring that – I’ll let the development team know about this if that’s the case.
