Layout Slider Hover-CSS not working

Good day!

Currently I’m working on a new project with SiteOrigin PageBuilder and SiteOrigin Widget Bundle.

I have some problems with the Layout Slider. I created some special Buttons with a CSS transition of bigger padding on hover. The first slider is working fine, but on every other slider pages it does not work with “:hover”-CSS. Everything I do, the hover is not working – only on slide 1 of the slider.

Any fix to repair this problem?

Thanks!

Cheers,
Clemens.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Clemens

    Thanks for posting.

Do you perhaps have a public URL where we can look at what’s going on?

    Hi Andrew,

    thanks for the fast reply!

Yes I have. I disabled the maintenance mode for the website and you can check them here: http://clemens-alt.de/teamlizard

Its the slider on the top with the 2 buttons. The first slider at beginning of the side works perfect. After it changed to the second one, the hover effect does not work anymore. I tried several things, also to build a Javascript for reloading on the second one, but it does not work. There is something wrong with the Layout Slider of the PageBuilder …

    Thanks in advance for help!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Clemens

Thanks for the link and details. I’ve taken a quick look at the issue. Unfortunately, this type of technical troubleshooting isn’t something we can easily support within our free support scope and remain viable. I can get the hover working on the second frame but then it breaks on the initial frame. There a few overlapping factors involved relating to the animations. The total time needed on this issue might be 20-30mins total. Apologies; I hope you understand. We do our best with the resources we have.

    Hi Andrew,

    thanks for your answer!

It would be my interest to get a Premium Version of SiteOrigin PageBuilder. This would not be a problem. Is it fixable when I purchase a single license for this current project?

Or if you have another way, please tell me. I want to give my client the best surfing he can get for his site and this is an issue I tried to fix yesterday for about 3 hours and didn’t get any fix for that.

    Thanks!

    Mit freundlichen Grüßen,
    Clemens Alt

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Clemens

    Thanks for the update.

Unfortunately, I can’t say. SiteOrigin Premium is very moderately priced so we’re constrained in our premium scope too but can certainly take another look.

    Hi Andrew,

how much would it cost to get the fix from you?

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for your query. We don’t offer custom development services at this time.

Okay thanks for the information. So all in all there is no way to fix that but it would take 30 min to fix? I really don’t understand …

    Hi Clemens

We usually aren’t able to offer technical support within our free scope. Our free support scope is limited to basic settings and functionality. All times mentioned are estimates to try and explain the cost from our side.

I understand, but thats a way from my side to make a premium license for you for the moment. Because it looks like a SiteOrigin mistake that should not be.

I completely understand everything from you, but for me its a sign for me right now, that I should change the PageBuilder. I’m working with SiteOrigin for almost 8 years now but in the last couple of months I see that there are features I’m missing for years and with this reaction I have to say, this will be my last project with this PageBuilder because to be honest: The PageBuilder from SiteOrigin is outdated. I’m going to change to the BRICKS Builder because its a Builder that is right now the most efficient one.

I’m sorry to say that, but I see that the development is not really there anymore. No new features, mobile optimization is just bad, heavy code for slow websites and so on. The list is long and I’m sorry to say that.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Clemens

    Thanks for your detailed reply.

Page Builder and the Widgets Bundle are fully supported and actively developed. We encourage you, always, to use the products that work best for you. To check on development, GitHub is usually the best. For example, for the Widgets Bundle: https://github.com/siteorigin/so-widgets-bundle/commits/develop/.

The Layout Slider in question is not standard; the animations for example are powered by the theme. From what I can see, the animations are complicating the hover effects. Our free support scope offers support for all basic functionality. Within our premium scope, we can take another look but I don’t know the answer so can’t make any promises. If the same issue occurs in a basic Layout Slider without third-party animations then yes, absolutely, that would fall within our free support scope.

    Hi Andrew,

    thanks for the information.

Finally I got a fix for my site with the help of ChatGPT. It solved everything perfectly by doing a Javascript for me. Now it works fine for me.

    But thanks for the reply.
