Layout Bound “Boxed” Size

11 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 11 years ago

Hello,

My site is getting so close to exactly where I want it! You guys are awesome! Little problem I am experiencing. I want to continue on with the Boxed layout available in theme settings. However, I am not happy with how small the boxed layout is (width-wise). Is there anyway to adjust this? Thanks so much!

    Hi Heather

    Glad to hear you’re making progress. Please try the following under Appearance > Custom CSS and adjust as required:

    /* Vantage Boxed Layout Site Width */
    body.responsive #page-wrapper {
    max-width: 960px !important;
    }

    This is working great! The other related issue I am running into involves the metaslider. It seems that when using the boxed layout it defaults to 1010PX wide. Even after changing the boxed width to much higher, metaslider cannot adjust. The effect I am trying to achieve is a wider box with a slider that stretches to the same width of the box. The key here is that I do not want it to crop or distort the images. Any fixes?Thanks, as always!

    Glad that helped.

    Within Meta Slider, under Advanced in the right column you’ll find the image crop settings, that’ll help you setup how the slider handles that. If the slider is inserted into the page body via Page Builder then 1010px will be the max width. 1080px is only possible if the slider is inserted via Appearance > Theme Settings > Home OR via the Meta Slider drop down when editing a page.
