jQuery errors in admin

Hey,

so updated WordPress (though think this error was pre-updated – I just can’t pin it to what change) and now my pages that use page builder show two empty widgets in one row, opening browser console gets:

Error loading data: l(...).data(...) is undefined
jQuery.Deferred exception: l(...).data(...) is undefined resize/<@http://sinnis.local/wp-content/plugins/siteorigin-panels/js/siteorigin-panels-267.min.js?ver=2.6.7:3:25427
TypeError: $id(...).hide(...).farbtastic is not a function

my pages render ok which I suppose makes sense as it all it’s doing is outputting the code, not compiling from the plugin.

What I’ve tried:

* Replacing project plugin with newly downloaded SiteOrigins Plugin bundle

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Birodevelopment,

That’s odd. Hm. Can you please try reinstalling the update to see if that helps? You can check this by navigating to WP AdminSettingsUpdates and click Re-install Update.

If that doesn’t help, can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

We do have the most recent version installed on another site that works perfectly fine so I’m guessing it’s another plugin (probably one I coded haha) causing the issue. I think perhaps an attempt at a jQuery version update might have caused this issue, will go through the git logs to see if I could track down the issue.

    Thanks,

    Hi Birodevelopment,

That likely is the cause of this issue. Ideally, you should avoid updating any WordPress included libraries (jQuery, Backbone.js, Underscores.js, etc) as there’s no guarantee that WordPress, or any plugins and themes made for WordPress, will work with the specific version of jQuery you’re using – they’re only designed to work with the version shipped with WordPress and more often than not, completely untested with other versions.

Hey, sorry forgot to come back on this:

I resolved it, there was a line that was recalling jquery in a plugin, so it was conflicting.

    Thanks,
