Hi I have found a jetpack widget in my widget which is called “social media icons” it actually adds the button I have been looking for. But when I click on the fb button added by this widget I end up to a page saying : “Sorry, this page isn’t available The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.” I was wondering if you can help me to find out what is wrong? I have given my correct fb url to this widget but it is not responding.

    Hi Nahdi

    This the URL you’re being forwarded to:

    https://www.facebook.com/https://www.facebook.com/ovenstar.2?ref=aymt_homepage_pane/

    Two Facebook domains in the URL. So at a guess I’d say that the Jetpack setting just requires your username in there and not the URL for Facebook. Just insert:

    ovenstar.2

    thanks a lot dear Andrew, all I need now is moving this button to left , is there any way I can move it all the way to left?

    Which button are you looking to move? Where is it currently inserted? Thanks.

    the fb button on my header up right onre

    To explain a little about the header widget area. It’s right positioned and expands as content is added. So from within theme controls it’s not possible to shift it easily. If your logo was a bit smaller it wouldn’t cross behind the header widget area and would resolve the problem as I see it.

    You can also try the following at Appearance > Custom CSS:

    #masthead .hgroup {
        padding-top: 30px !important;
        padding-bottom: 30px !important;
    }
    #masthead .hgroup .logo img {
    	height: auto;
        max-width: 1010px;
    }

    thanks a lot dear Andrew, now I can see my button, im pretty happy with the code which resized my logo. But the only problem now is my fb button in header is too small. do you know how can I increase the size of it ?

    Sorry, not quite sure. Which widget are you using?

  9. Nahdi Gefariann 10 years, 5 months ago

    Social media icons widget which is available from Appearance>widgets

    Jetpack doesn’t have an option, as far as I can see, to change the size of those.

    You could try the SiteOrigin Social Media Icons widget. It’ll be there if you have the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle installed.

    other than the button on my header, I just added an extra widget to have the same fb button for my side bar. Currently it is sitting above my contact forms, is there any way I put it underneath my contact forms?

  14. Andrew Misplon Staff 10 years, 5 months ago

    Sure, if that’s in the sidebar you can just drag the widget below the contact widget. At Appearance > Widgets in any widget area you can just drag widgets around to set the order.

    my wantage widget is above my site origin editor widget but I cant drag it , I appearance>widgets I cant do it, maybe you mean somewhere else?

  16. Nahdi Gefariann 10 years, 5 months ago

    you meant this in customizer, I just did it, thanks a lot Andrew :)

  17. Andrew Misplon Staff 10 years, 5 months ago

    For sure :) Glad to hear you made progress.

    (You’re able to re-order widgets at both Appearance > Widgets and Appearance > Customize. If the Customizer is working for you the that’s awesome. It’s the new location to work at.)

    Hi Nahdi

    To resolve this problem you need to delete SVG Support. Login to your server via FTP or hosting file manager, go to /wp-content/plugins and delete the SVG Support plugin folder.
