jetpack portfolio classic editor how to go to block editor

hallo, thanks for your good work with site origin. and for this support. i’m using site origin on web site that also uses the feature of jetpack portfolio for archives with the methods indicated on your site with the classic editor plugin active and archives templates with post loop etc. i would like to make some changes to this site and start using block editor but when i tried from setting (to switch) to activate the block editor (without knowing that maybe i should deactivate classic editor plugin before? or what is the right procedure) my portfolio custom type disappeared and i restore from backup cause whatever i tried couldn’t bring portfolio back into the dashboard even if jetpack connection was ok. i try to search on this forum but not much luck. So i would like to know because i want to keep your theme (unwind free and site origin) if there is some right procedure to follow in order to do this safely?
i tried also in staging – local but jetpack disables some feature and i’m not sure if all the set up will be the same.
thanks a lot i really appreciate your answering.

    Hi, I Work Here

Hi, thanks for posting your question.

Unfortunately, I’m not sure why the Jetpack post type disappeared; I haven’t come across a situation like that in the past.

If a page is in classic Page Builder form and you have the Classic Editor activated, you can go to SettingsWriting and enable “Allow users to switch editors”. You can export the Page Builder layout by editing the page and then clicking LayoutsImport/ExportDownload Layout. Using the Classic Editor metabox in the right column or using the sub-link under the page title in the Pages page, you can then open the page in the Block Editor, clear the contents, insert a SiteOrigin Layout Block and import the JSON layout file via the same path (LayoutsImport/ExportImport Layout). These steps only apply to a scenario where you’d like to convert a classic Page Builder page to a SiteOrigin Layout Block in the Block Editor.
