Jetpack Error message

I’ve installed the jetpack for my webpage. Then it says “You’re almost done. Set up Jetpack to enable powerful security and performance tools for WordPress”.

So I clicked on the rectangular green square box that says “Set up Jetpack”. It takes me to a new page with the headline “Over 5 million WordPress sites are faster and more secure”. Below it is a blue rectangular box that says “Set Jetpack”.

Right below that box there is a message that says, “An error occurred. Please try again.”

I’ve been trying again several times over the last week and the “An error occurred. Please try again.”

So, what is wrong? Can anyone please help?

    It’ll probably be best to post on the Jetpack forum https://wordpress.org/plugins/jetpack/. Unfortunately, I haven’t encountered the issue you’re facing.
