Hi Antgil
What issues are you seeing when viewing the site on iPhone. I cannot see any when trying it.
Thanks
Magus
Hi. Thats odd, sorry I thought I’d posted the issue.
The site appears fine on a computer but when viewed on an iPhone (4S) my masthead background (white dots on blue) is missing, and the button widget with the contact telephone number appears as two buttons, one with the text, the other with the icon. Even without the icon the button is split on the phone screen. Also, the meta slider only plays through a few times then stops on the first slide. Cheers.
Hi ANTGIL
Apologies for the delay. Have you managed to resolve. I’ve test on iOS Chrome (iPhone 5s) and all seems well. Your slider is playing correctly and the masthead is displaying correctly.
If you’re still seeing a problem. please let us know which browser you’re using.
Thanks
Thanks
The button widget is still split in two, the icon appears in a smaller box button next to the larger one with the phone number. Deleting the icon doesn't change anything, I just get a smaller empty button next to the larger one. This is on iOS7.1.1 using Safari. Cheers.
Thanks for the feedback. The problem is specific to iOS Safari. I’m unfortunately not quite sure why it’s happening and only happening there. We’ll come back to you ASAP tomorrow. Let me get a consult on my side. Feel free to reply when you’re online to bump this thread.
Thanks
Hi ANTGIL
Please could you confirm the text that’s been inserted into the button text field? It looks like there might be some extra HTML there.
Thanks
Hi Andrew
The widget in the header is a SiteOrigin Button. The button text reads: <strong>(02) 9484 6300</strong>. The Icon is a Icomoon Free Phone graphic. That’s all I’ve done. I just deleted the <strong> tags in case this was the problem, but the button remained in two pieces. I tried this without the phone icon but still ended up with the widget split, one part with the telephone number, the other blank. Cheers.
Hi ANTGIL
Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:
[email protected]
Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.
Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.
This is a private message.
Sure Andrew, no problem. I’ve just set you up.
Awesome, thanks. I'll be online a little later and will dive in then.
Thanks for your patience.
Thanks for the wait. Linking the button seems to resolve the problem. We’re still not sure why it’s happening. If you’re ok with linking the button to your contact page then we could call it a hotfix for now.
Brilliant. That's perfect. Something very simple in the end. Thanks for your help. Cheers.
Thanks for your understanding.
Another option would be to use the tel: link format as follows:
That would enable click to call on devices that are capable.
Here is more information from Google on click to call: https://developers.google.com/web/fundamentals/device-access/click-to-call/click-to-call?hl=en
The format does need to be international if you go with that option.
All the best :)
Thanks. I'll look into that, that could be a good option. Great theme by the way. Cheers.
For sure :) Thanks for your support.
All the best with your projects.
