Thanks for any help in advance.
On my main page you can see using site origin builder and using an API google maps widget and have used the markers portion as your manual suggests to show some specific data that I want to convey; Reviews, Clickable links, etc… Located here:
However, there is much more info regarding googles inherent ‘interactions’ that can be presented. I would very much like to utilize these items as it is good for my business. They are; Links for directions, Ability to save my business, and most certainly and update when people leave a review for my website. Here is an example that does not use your procuct:
Is there any way that I can allow for google’s inherent information, such as listed above, to show itself?
As you can probably tell from my writing that I know nothing about the coding of building a website and it is not my profession. However, I have altered the header security flags and have gotten it to work for one click then the site goes down as it is deemed a risk.
That being said, I am feeling stuck. If you can please help, that would be much appreciated. If it won’t work with the google info, I can handle that, I just want to make sure im not missing something.
I am sure you know should’ing things to work sometimes can be a bad thing.
Thank you,
Joshua
Hi Joshua,
Unfortunately, no, the Google Maps API doesn’t offer this functionality at this time. I’m sorry mate, I wish this was possible.
Hi Alex, as I am not a professional at this, I just want to confirm the terms I used are correct; As it seems highly illogical that your widget does not display what a standard WordPress page build would.
Using your product (google maps widget) I am able to get this as my best result. Mind you this is entering the information myself hyperlinking etc… :
flatheadchiropractic. com <– Map is on the home page.
However, when I use code provided by google into WordPress this is what I get; Things like updated reviews about my business and links to: Directions, Reviews, & Saving my business which not only look better but act better for my business and I am quite sure many other businesses.
flatheadchiropractic. com/sample-map-page/ <– Map is the only thing being displayed.
This is what confused me in your answer. You said "Google Maps API doesn't offer this functionality"; Well, yes it does, and it does it very well looking at my sample map page. Is it your widget that doesn't allow for this inherent information?
Thank you in advance,
Joshua
