I love the simplicity of PageBuilder; however, I have encountered a number of problems 1. my content disappear after navigating away from home screen and going back to home screen again 2. I bought a SSL to secure my website and there’s issue with the images (especially the logo) being broken while browsing in https (I even download wordpress plugin to solve this problem but it’s not working). It works fine with http but I’m creating a membership website so I need ensure “the green lock seal” is visible to my members.
Problem 1 & 2
1.) It’s like once I hit the back button or any click (the logo) it redirect me back to home screen but my content disappear (Primarily the body which I used PageBuilder to create). You can visit the site here www.minddesign.club and test it out.
2.) HTTPS isn’t properly working this may be SiteOrigin if look at it as https://www.minddesign.club the images are broken (especially logo and images using SiteOrigin widget). I have tried to host all images on my server, but I can’t locate the codes in the backend of wordpress for me to send these images to secure pathway. or <img src"//domainname"
I am self hosting and using wordpress platform to make this site.
Hi Noi,
I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues.
1. You have two homepages set up. One at http://www.minddesign.club and the other at http://www.minddesign.club/home/
Please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceMenu and change the home menu item to link to the actual homepage instead.
I’m unable to replicate the exact issue you’re experiencing but I suspect this will resolve it.
2. Quick question. Based on your wording and a few tests, it looks like you have two WordPress installs. Is this the case?
By the way, as you’re a premium user, you’re entitled to priority email support. If you would like to make use of that, please follow the instructions found on your Dashboard. Please reference this thread and include your SiteOrigin order key in the email.
Hey Alex!
I see where the issue was. That resolved it. Thank you!
The homepage wasn’t properly linked to send me back to the homepage that use pagebuilder.
I have only one wordpress install on cPanel. I didn’t make a major change to the menu part of Vantage Premium theme. I did import my blog from another platform to wordpress for further control of my blog and to start an eCommerce.
I do see that I have two homepage: http://www.minddesign.club and http://www.minddesign.club/home
The menu was set like that when I first installed Vantage Premium so homepage menu sent me straight to http://www.minddesign.club/home when I click on it. There could be a additional page somewhere I’ll double check.
In term of SSL, I’ll have to manually fix it. Mixed content is the issue so image appear broken, but this is a wordpress issue. https://www.minddesign.club
Hi Noi,
Okay, thanks for confirming. There’s something odd about your setup. Any of the images on the homepage will work 100% as desired on first load and will only work when viewed via WordPress. This is the main reason why I thought you may have had two installs – as I didn’t notice that the http version also had the same issue.
I suspect wp-content/uploads doesn’t have the right permissions. Can you check their permissons? The permissions should be it should be 0644. If you need assistance with this I would recommend asking your hosting provider for support.
Regardless, please navigate to WP Admin > Settings > General and change the URLs to https://www.minddesign.club
