Issue with page updates using Page Builder and the Primer Theme

I’m curious if there is anyone else using the Primer theme who is having an issue trying to edit or add content using Page Builder.

I’ve built our entire site using basic Page Builder and have had no problems thus far. Early last week I changed to the Primer theme, and then a couple days later I updated Page Builder to 2.5.4. Today, while attempting to add new content, I’m unable to drag a new row onto the page through Page Builder. I get the spinning circle but the pop-up window where I would normally add and edit content never presents itself. The same occurs if I try to edit existing content that was present before the upgrade to 2.5.4.

I’ve not attempted to try another theme yet as I’d like to stick with the Primer theme if possible.

Thanks,

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Phil,

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

I’m not personally with Primer, but just to rule it out, can you try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related? This will not result in loss of settings or content as they’re stored separately to the theme.
