Issue with Page Builder & Gravity Forms pagination

Hi,
There seems to be an issue with embedding a Gravity form using a widget in page builder with the vantage theme. I do not have the same problem when I insert the form using the normal page editor.
The issue is only for forms that have pagination and it causes the pagination not to work and the jquery for the form (like the submit button) not to work.
Do you know about this issue? If not I can send you admin access to my staging site where this is happening.
Thanks,
janie

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Janiec

We haven’t tested Gravity multi-page yet so it’s very possible this is a problem. Would you mind doing a quick test for us. Instead of using the Gravity Forms widget, try inserting the form into a Visual Editor widget in Page Builder, using the form shortcode. Same error?

    Hi Andrew,
yes it works OK when the shortcode is added in a text widget in page builder.
It is only when the Gravity forms widget is used that there is a problem….

    Hi, I Work Here

Super, thanks for confirming this. Where we have seen this problem before is as follows: the Gravity Forms widget causes problems in Page Builder only when a form has conditional logic. However we didn’t know that this was also the case with pagination. Or perhaps your form has conditional logic in it and that is the problem.

Either way, I’m logging a bug report now, the guys will attend ASAP. If possible, please make use of the Text widget + shortcode method for now.

    Thanks for the feedback :)

Awesome! My live site is just using the shortcode in the text widget but my page now doesn't have the flexibility that pagebuilder provides so it would be great to have it working.
By the way no conditional logic in my form at all…

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for confirming the conditional logic issue.

Sorry, not following there. Did you try this test:

Within Page Builder, remove the Gravity Forms widget and insert a Text or Visual Editor widget in the exact same place (within Page Builder) and test again.

Oh right, on my live site I had the shortcode inserted via the normal Page Editor but now I realise of course I can put the visual editor widget in page builder instead. haha thanks

    Hi, I Work Here

For sure. Just a quick reminder than on any given page you’ll need to work in either the regular Visual tab or in Page Builder but not both.

Does the error occur in Page Builder with the Gravity shortcode?

    Thanks

No it doesn't – this is what I tested for you initially in my staging site.

    Hi, I Work Here

Ahh right, got you. So with shortcode OR widget, the Gravity form doesn’t work in Page Builder when using a multi-page form. I’ll log this bug shortly. Thanks again.

OMG I am losing my mind sorry it has been a long day. This is correct:

Gravity Forms widget in page builder – DOESNT WORKShortcode in Visual Editor widget in page builder – WORKSShortcode in normal page editor – WORKS

    Is it the weekend yet????

    Hi, I Work Here

Haha, no worries, you were clear, that’s what I understood. Yeah, at a guess it’ll have to do with where Gravity expects the data to be stored. Page Builder isn’t storing in the same variable as regular WordPress content.

    Bug has been logged!

Thanks again for your help. This is how we keep Page Builder moving forward :)
