Issue with Button widget button color and text color

5 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 5 years ago

I’m using the Guttenberg block editor.
I add a SiteOrigin Widget block.
I select the Button widget.
I edit the Button widget and set button color to red and text color to white.
The button colors appear correct in the block editor block.
When I preview the page from the editor, the button colors are correct.
When I open a new browser tab and go to the page, the text is red and the background is white.
Any idea why this is happening, and how to fix it?

Thanks!

    Hi VirtualRDN

    Thanks for reaching out.

Is the button on the page link provided still added using a SiteOrigin Widget block? Looking the source code, it doesn’t appear to be using a SiteOrigin widget at the moment.

    Hi Andrew,
You are correct I switched to the default block editor button until we can resolve the SiteOrigin button issue.
Please let me know if I need to create a web page with your button to assist with troubleshooting the issue.

Hi, please, create a test page so we can see the issue. Thanks.

Thanks for the link. The Button widget stylesheet is returning a 403 error. If you open your browser console, the error is visible. Here is how https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/#step-3-diagnosis.

There is a range of possible causes, more info here https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-403-forbidden-error-in-wordpress/.

You might start by temporarily deactivating all plugins not authored by SiteOrigin, re-test and see if there is any change.
