Is this possible? Specific site transition

By jele, 7 years ago. Last reply by jele, 7 years ago.

Sorry about the vague title, but I’m inquiring about something I really don’t know the term for. These two sites are examples:

https://stevenmengin.com/
http://www.vermont.eu/

The background appears static, while one scroll makes the site content transition.

I recently asked in another thread about different site transitions and learned they were not possible in any practical way, but I’m unsure as to whether this effect is the same or different from a technical standpoint.

Even if it’s not possible I’d be happy to learn the name for it, if anyone knows….

Thanks!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Jele,

Those sites are using Canvas. Unfortunately, this sort of stuff is even more complicated (it requires an absolute tonne of JavaScript) and as a result, it’s also not possible without a fair amount of custom coding. This is beyond the scope of what we can help you with on the forums, but you could hire a developer to implement this for you.

    We highly recommend using Codeable.
