I love using SiteOrigin Page Builder, but the display on my iPad 2 for my website http://www.bewhatyouwant.net/ is quite poor.
It stacks content on the left but has nothing on the right hand size of the screen across all pages.
Is there something I can do to improve the tablet display of my website?
Thanks!
Chris
Hi Chris,
Please navigate to WP AdminSettingsPage Builder and open the Layout tab. Set the Mobile Width to 767 and save. How does that look?
Consider optionally disabling the responsive collapse for the rows housing your buttons. To do this, please open the row housing the buttons and head over to the row styles sidebar. Open the Layout settings group and set the Collapse Behaviour to No Collapse.
Thanks for this – I tried 767 Mobile Width, I then separately tried activating Tablet Width and set it to 767, and I also tried setting the Rows to No Collapse on the homepage.
Unfortunately none of these these worked.
I do want response design on Mobile, of course, I just want to make Tablet display look good, rather than all collapsing to the left.
Thanks for your help, any more suggestions?
Kind regards,
Chris
Hi Chris,
Can you please show me a screenshot of what you’re currently seeing? I ask as I’m unable to see what you initially described. We’re currently unable to process attachments at this time so you’ll need to upload your image to a third party image hosting site like Imgur or vgy.me. Please be sure to try clearing your devices browser cache.
The tablet width and Mobile width should ideally be different to prevent any potential mix-ups.
Hey Alex,
Screenshot
OK, have set Mobile width to 780 default, activated Tablet Layout and set Tablet Width to 767 as you suggested, but doesn’t work still on Tablet.
I had to reactivate Collapse Behaviour on the Row level to Standard because it totally screwed up display on Mobile.
aren’t iPad 2s 1024 width though?
It definilitely seems to be a specific Tablet browsing issue.
Thanks mate!
Chris
Hi Chris,
Please disable Use Tablet Layout and then set the Mobile Width to 767. Clear your browser cache and save. How does that look?
That’s when in Landscape. Portrait is 768. We don’t want the responsive collapse to occur so we’re setting the mobile width to 767).
Please note that I’m not able to actually view your screenshot due to sharing permissions. Can you please make the image public?
Thanks Alex!
have Disabled Use Tablet Layout and have set Mobile Width to 767.
Also cleared Cache and History on iPad.

Hi Chris,
Unfortunately, I can’t seem to replicate what you’re seeing. Can you please try clearing your page cache plugin, minify plugin, and then your browser cache?
OK, I just cleared cache plugin, minify plugin, iPad Safari browser cache and Cloudfare Cache.
Still the same problem on my physical device.
I just ran the website through an online emulator and the issue is NOT present, it looks great….

Weird ey?
Hi Chris,
Please navigate to WP AdminSettingsPage Builder and open the Layout tab. Set Use Legacy Layout Engine to Always and save. Clear your plugin cache, minify and browser cache. How does that look?
FIXED!!!!
Thank you, yes activating Use Legacy Layout Engine worked!
Thanks so much Alex, I sincerely appreciate your help.
Chris
Hi Chris,
Great to hear that helped! :) Consider reverting the previous Mobile Width and Tablet Width adjustment to see if you’re okay with how they look now.
Please be sure to post another thread if you have any other questions.
