Sorry for opening a new thread, despite the fact that this issue has already been reported under [1]. Unfortunately, your forum says that comments under that post are not possible for me. I am having the same problem.
I updated the text of an unrelated text widget on a page builder site that was also running the Master Slider Widget in another row. After updating the page, I’m now getting the error ‘Invalid slider id. Master Slider ID must be a valid number.’, despite not having changed anything inside of that row or the corresponding Master Slider.
Using the Shortcode inside any Siteorigin Widget is not working either. Sliders on pages I have not updated for a while are still working though, despite being inside of Siteorigin Widgets. Only new or updated pages are affected, so this must be a recently introduced incompatibility.
Note that using the same Master Slider shortcodes on a pure, non-siteorigin page is working fine, so it is clearly associated with having Page Builder active for that page. I will try to compare with backup files and see if I can further investigate the problem.

Hi Chris,
Please navigate to WP AdminSettingsPage Builder and open the General tab. Untick Sidebar Emulator and save. Does the slider appear correctly now?
Hi Alex,
Thank you very much! After changing the setting you explained and once more updating my page with the correctly selected slider, everything is working again. Just to confirm this solution, I’ve reversed the setting and tested if that would cause the problem to reappear. Indeed, the setting was decisive for whether the error message appears after updating a page or not.
Thank you so much for your quick solution! Is there any disadvantage from having the “Sidebar Emulator” option permanently unticked from now on?
Hi Chris,
The Sidebar Emulator functionality is only required for a few specific widgets (for example, a few of the Jetpack widgets such as the Twitter TImeline and Milestone widget). If you don’t see any obvious issues upon deactivating the Sidebar Emulator functionality, it should be perfectly safe to disable the setting based on your usage.
Thank you for your quick and informative answer! All the best
