As per the thread title, is this possible? I would like to use the North theme as it allows the menu beside the header logo, but would like to have the slider above my blog posts. Any suggestions very welcome!

Unfortunately, this isn’t possible without some custom coding. I’ve marked this thread as a feature request. We often look through these threads to get ideas for what to add in our future updates. Hopefully, we’ll be able to add this in a future update.
You can, however, do this with the help of Page Builder. Please open your blog page and enable Page Builder. Add a Meta Slider widget at the top of the page, and then add a one column row with a post loop widget. Save and then navigate to WP AdminSettingsReading and set your Posts Page too – Select –.
How does that look? If the post page is meant to be the home page of your website, please set the Front Page setting to the page you’ve added the meta slider too.
