Inserting Search bar in page

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

Hi,
I’ve been using a 3rd party search plugin.
But, now I want to use the search bar of vantage theme.
So I tried to insert codes of searchform.php into a page, but I couldn’t get the form I imagined.
I want to insert search bar to page, and decorate the search bar using css.
I want to get the search bar like it of airbnb.com. So above all, I can be able to insert search bar in a page.
How can I do?
Thanks.

    Hi 윤정완

    Thanks for reaching out.

By default it’s unfortunately not possible to insert PHP into the WordPress Visual/Text tabs or the Text widget or the Visual/Text tabs in the Visual Editor widget. There are one or two plugins that add an advanced text widget that accepts PHP, you could consider that.

The easiest solution is probably to create a row in Page Builder, add a background image and then insert a Search widget. You could then target that row and widget and style the form as required.
