Inserting php without shortcode

7 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 7 years ago

Hi all,

I am using the Page Builder and I love it!

On the website, a google sheets page is loaded and shown. I use shortcode (Inline spreadsheet viewer) and I use a little bit of PHP to get a query (so the address is example.com?option=one). The problem is: if I insert the PHP as shortcode is it shortcode in the shortcode and that does not work.

Can I allow the normal in the site builder? How do I allow that?

The code looks something like this:
[gdoc key=”https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/blababla” query=”select A, B where C = ‘[xyz-ips snippet=”getOption”]'”

Who can help me? Much appreciated!

Rutger

The forum (naturally) filtered some of the text, my apologies.

I meant, is there a way to allow in the SiteOrigins Page builder (Widgets)?

    Hi Rutger,

Unfortunately, this isn’t possible without modifications to how SiteOrigin Page Builder handles its output. This is beyond the scope of what we can help you with on the forums. Your best bet would be to the PHP shortcode to output the normal shortcode with the desired setup – you should use do_shortcode(). Alternatively, if you would like to use a single shortcode for every instance, you could create a custom shortcode that allows you to do this
