Innova-Custom Title will not allow editing.

If I open the box to edit the text, then click “Done”, the preview does not show the change. If I check the text again it is still the new version but if I click “Update”, the text in the preview remains the same and the edited text reverts back to how it was originally. Am I doing something wrong? I have tried disabling other widgets and clearing the cache but still no success.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi John,

Okay, so when you click done it doesn’t actually save the page. To save the page you’ll need to click done and then save the page manually. The live editor currently doesn’t save changes as they’re made.

    Hi Alex,
Thanks for your help with this. WHen I click “Done” it returns to the “Edit Page”, how do I save the page manually?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi John,

You can save the page as you normally would when editing – via the Publish, save draft or Update button in the publish box.

    Hi Alex,
Mine doesn’t look quite like that but if I change the text and click “Done”, then click “Update” the text doesn’t change and if I go back into Edit, the text has reverted back to the original. I just now saved a Draft Copy after editing the text, but again it saved as the unedited version.

    Hi John,

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi John,

Okay so I’ve run a few tests and I can’t replicate the issue described on your website.

Could you please clarify what you’re trying to edit? This will allow me, to hopefully, replicate the issue.

    Hi Alex,
As an example I want to change the text on the “Trojan Pumps” page. As a test I try to change the text “Introduced in 2004” to “2003”, but it won’t let me.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi John,

Oh. Hang on, you’re having an issue with a custom widget. Sorry, I didn’t realize you were having issues with a custom widget. I would recommend contacting the author to see if this version is compatible with the latest version of SiteOrigin Page Builder and if not, what version it’s compatible.

I would recommend switching to the SiteOrgin Headline Widget (included with the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle) instead as it’s much the same thing but I can assure you it’ll work without issue.

    Very sorry about this!

Thanks again Alex. My mistake, I thought they were from SiteOrigin. I’ve done as you suggested and it’s fine now. I just need to go through the rest of the site and alter them one at a time.
    Regards,
    John
