I am having an issue with the “Infinite Scroll” option in my Theme (GeneratePress Premium).
On this page https://dev.renemichaels.com Infinite scroll does not show the formatting of posts above the first 10. I sent a support request to GeneratePress and they noted the following:
“The plugin you are using to generate the post styles does not generate CSS for the last 2 posts as they are not loaded in the initial page load.”
How do I address this with Page Builder so any/all styles are generated in the initial page load?
I did discover that if I change my WordPress Reading Settings from (10) to a greater number, the styles display fine. But I should think that would not impact infinite scroll?
Just had a thought… A workaround for this might be to add general CSS for the buttons, so even if the plugin does not generate CSS for the posts that load later, the buttons will still have styles?
Do you have any suggestion son how I would do that?
Hi Rene,
Thanks for getting in touch. Based on your description of the issue, it sounds like GeneratePress isn’t applying the_content filter when loading additional posts via the infinite loader and/or not outputting any additional styles. We might be able to account for this, but we’ll need to take a closer look at the relevant code to confirm.
Can you please upload a copy of your theme to Google Drive, or Dropbox and then share a download link to [email protected]? This will allow me to look over the theme files.
Kind regards,
Alex
