Importing content and lay-out issues

Hi There,
I have a smal problem concering a default lay-out for a custom post type.

I have set my custom post type with a lay-out saved in to it. On making a new post for this type this works like a charm. However I am about to import about 300 posts from a csv. On import the lay-out does not work. It only works if I open up a post with imported content and update the post.

As I am not looking forward to opening and saving each post individually (bulk quick edits do not solve the issue), I was wondering if anybody else had this problem and how they managed to get around this anoying little bug.

Any help is much appreciated

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Roland,

To clarify, what tool are you using to import the pages? Could you show me an example of the csv import data?

Well I’m using csv import from smackcoders, but this seems to work fine. The issue I have is that the lay-out does not seem to be activated until I mannually update the imported posts.

A sample of the csv is here: http://www.nexo-powers.nl/wp-content/uploads/sample.csv.

On just uploading it looks like: http://www.nexo-powers.nl/clay-morrington/reuzengroei/
just an empty page without the lay-out that is ‘default’ for the posttype

On uploading and then manually resaving it looks like it should: http://www.nexo-powers.nl/clay-morrington/verlamkrijs/

The lay-out i heave as default for this custom post type (minus the missing images, but that is something I have to fix)

    Hi Roland,

    Sorry for the delay.

I can’t seem to access any of the provided links. Is that the correct domain and if so, do I need to do something locally to allow me to gain access? Sorry about this!

For reference, I currently suspect that the page builder data isn’t being included in the csv or isn’t importing correctly. I can’t provide a specific recommendation as I don’t know the structure of the csv looks like just yet but I would recommend double checking over the settings and double checking to ensure the import tool supports serialized data. If it helps, the page builder data is stored as post meta with a meta_key of panels_data. The data is serialized.
