Images not showing in editor

6 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 6 years ago

I am using site origin in WordPress 5.3.2. I start a new post and then activate Page Builder. I add a widget or add a line then add a widget, then add an image from a url (flikr or from my cloud). The image should then appear. It does not. It does not if I save the widget either. I can get an image via the media library. If I try to upload there is no upload button. From classic editor I can do everything, except the image from my cloud does not show. Is there anything I can do to make url or upload work properly?

    Hi Gary

Thanks for posting. If possible, please, could you take a screenshot of the WordPress admin when adding the image in question, that’ll help us see exactly where the image is being added, the editor used etc. Upload the screenshot to imgur.com and send us the link. Thanks again :)

well forget everything I said. It is working now. Yesterday when I started a post it went to the classic editor and from there I chose siteorigin editor, and then had the problems I mentioned.

    thanks for the prompt reply!

Hang on, it was the block editor.

Also if starting with block editor then choosing Add Site Origin Layout Block, you can upload files and get images from media libraries but the images do not appear or post.

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback, it’s most appreciated.

At the moment, I’m unable to replicate the issue, I’ve tried:

Classic Editor: Editor widget, insert media from external URL.
Block Editor: Layout Block: Editor widget, insert media from external URL.

If you have a moment, it’ll be helpful to test from a baseline position. Does the issue persist if you temporarily switch to a default theme like Twenty Nineteen and deactivate all plugins except for those authored by SiteOrigin?
