Hi,
I’ve created a row. It consists of 6 columns with 4 pictures in the middle columns.
When I zoom out the pictures move to the left on the page and when I zoom in they move to the right. I want them centered at all times.
The column furthest to the left is 12% while the others are 17,6% which makes the images centered when using a browser on a pc.
Hi Thomas
Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?
Hi,
yes, sorry:
weldadvice.dk
Thanks. Try changing your rows from Full Width Stretched to just Full Width and see if that helps the issue. You’ll most likely have to remove the empty columns. That would be best for the consistency you’re trying to achieve.
Hi,
I did what you asked of me but it’s like they’re still too far to the right for some reason. The pictures are not centered. And it makes no difference when I use the setting in the widget to move it to the left.
Hi,
I was looking at this thread Thread: page builder alignment
Do you think my child theme is the problem?
Hi Thomas, if you’re concerned your child theme is the problem you can switch back to the parent to test. It’s a very quick test.
Below is a link to a test layout, all seems to be normal when zooming out.
https://demo.siteorigin.com/vantage/test/
If you’d like to try this demo, you can find the JSON file here: https://siteorigin.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/test.json.zip. Once unzipped you can import the layout into a new page from within Page Builder by going to LayoutsImport/ExportImport Layout. You could try switching back to the parent theme to isolate where the issue is occurring.
Hi,
I imported the JSON file and it seems the images might be too big which pushes them to the right instead of centering them. Any solution to this?
Hi, does the issue persist when the parent theme is activated?
Hi,
I don’t dare activate the parent theme. Everything is messed up :S
Hi Thomas, everything is safely stored so you can switch themes without issue. On the rare occasion, I’ve seen widgets from drop from widget areas into the Inactive Widgets area at Appearance > Widgets but that’s easily resolved. Temporarily switching back to the parent is a useful test as it lets you know if an issue is caused by your child theme. If you want to be extra cautius you could create a hosting restore point if that’s something your host offers.
