Images in meta slider and sidebar blurred

1. When I set the Meta slider to default the images I uploaded as slides are blurred. When I set the Meta slider to Vantage (flex) the images are sharp BUT there is a 35px margin cut off on the left and the right, the image is
actually cropped from 1080px to 1010px. How can I get a 1080px wide image in the slider that looks the way I saved it?

2. Images uploaded in widgets in the sidebar get blurred as well. I found no ways around that, tried bigger images,
exact size as displayed, nothing works. I did notice that when I resize my browser window (Safari on iMac) the images turn sharp until I let go. What is causing this? I am uploading for example a 500 x 240 image and displaying it in 250 X 120, it shows up blurred, why? Even if I upload it as 250 x 120 (no resizing needed) it still gets blurred.

It looks like images uploaded in page content are alright so there must be some script messing with the
images in widgets and/or sidebars I guess but I ran out of ideas where or how to find it…

    Hi Carlo

If you haven’t already please take a quick look at our setup tutorial here: https://siteorigin.com/vantage-documentation/getting-started/slider/. Are you selecting your slider from Appearance > Theme Settings > Home > Home Page Slider?

I’m not sure what might be causing the sidebar image issue. Perhaps send through a link if the site’s live and I’ll take a look.

    Hi Andrew,

I’m building the site right now so there is a maintenance page shown. I selected the slider I created using Meta slider
from Appearance > Theme Settings > Home > Home Page Slider. My image is 1080×450 and all the size settings I
was able to set are also 1080×450. When I select Vantage (flex) as advised in the tutorial my image is cropped 35px on
the left and right sides and the setting in Meta slider is set to 1010×450 by itself!?

In the CSS the main content has a margin of 35px, that can’t be a coincidence right? Though when I set it to 0 the
content below the slider changes but the slider is still cropped.

I have set a border of 1px around the slider just because it looks good in my design. I made a screenshot and cut out the slider around this 1px border in photoshop just to be sure. The whole frame is 1080×450 while my image in it is 1010×450 (while it is actually 1080×450).

Where could this 35px margin be set and where is the script that crops my image? Secondly why is there a script that crops an image that is set to 1080 down to 1010?

I also have a similar issue. I use a monitor my images are blurred even though I have resized my images to 1020 x 420. However when I select vantage demo slider in theme settings the demo images looks fine. What is the image size of the demo slider?
