I have tried to place a image as a background in the row section so i could place text in the visual editor but my image will not scale to show the full image on a mobile, so i have tried in the other widgets as you can see here http://www.miaswebservices.co.uk/test-page-3/ now it works if i use the slider option but dosent on any other is there a way i can do this or should i just stick with the slider?

It sounds like what your after is the Hero Widget (found in the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle). The hero widget is basically an advanced slider that with the functionality you’re after. Take the Refined Design layout, and the Cafe Style Layout as examples of this. Both of the top most sections are hero widgets.
hello thanks for the quick reply I have tried the Hero Widget that is the second image on the test page here http://www.miaswebservices.co.uk/test-page-3/ and when I close the screen down to test for the mobile size the image dosent scale as the full image. I have looked at both those themes for ideas but it loses the images side and centers in the middle when in the image i am using I loose the two outside screen if that makes any sense

Sorry. I tend to skim post titles so when you didn’t reference the hero widget in your post I had thought you weren’t aware of it.
What I would recommend doing is setting the image as the widget background instead. To do this, open up your intended widget and select the design group from the widget styles sidebar. Set your background image and set it to cover. Please be sure to unset any backgrounds already set in said widget.

I have tried at that as well sorry, I have placed the image in the row section as the background image and full screen stretched, and then placed the visual editor widget in and set that to cover and added a space of 700px to open the image, I did have the text here as well but have now placed it on the image in photoshop as to see if this would help, the image works fine if i use the slider widget but i don't think this is the correct way to accomplish what i am trying to do, if I place the original image with text placed in the Visual
Editor the text will center on the screen but i loose the full image,
this is using the method i have just mention when checking for the mobile, well the two screens either side, should i just leave it as a slider image as this seems to work with just the one image ? or is it just the image i am using because of the screens either side I am testing out all the Site Origin Widgets and they don't half make life easier when setting a page out or maybe I am just getting lazy ha

Could you please send me an export for this widget? To do this open up the page with the widget, and click prebuilt layouts. Then click import / export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.

I know this sounds strange but when you click prebuilt layouts you have the option of exporting the layout.

I have clicked on a prebult layout with the image on, well I think this what you want and uploaded it in upload.teknik.io if thats correct but I am not sure how this will help me as I am not using these files or i have i got it wrong ?
