Image size in the homepage

11 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 11 years ago

Hello, first of all I want to say that I love this theme!

Second, I have a question: I like the way the photos display in my homepage http://69.195.124.247/~igolftus/ but I have cropped them 1080px x 420px and I think they look a bit blurry – I was wondering whether there is a recommended size for cropping them for the higher format. Maybe the definition would be better.

Thank you very much

    Hi Raffaella

    Thanks for running Vantage.

It’s always difficult to perfectly crisp images when using a 100% slider as the screen width is unknown. However your slider looks to be 560px high so that’s worth checking out. For perfect images a fixed width slider might be the way to go. You can also run this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-resized-image-quality/ to push your JPG quality up.

Our full slider tutorial is here: https://siteorigin.com/vantage-documentation/getting-started/slider/
