image in the masthead?

By tomtao, 7 years ago. Last reply by Alex S, 7 years ago.

Hi,

Is it possible to use a background image for the masthead?

What I’d like to see would be something like this from top down:
1. menu (ok)
2. masthead with logo and title BUT with a full width background image that fills the whole masthead, with the possibility to align the logo and title (left/center/right) for best visual appearance.
3. the rest of the page (ok)

Thank you for this great theme by the way!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tomtao,

Unfortunately, the only way to currently set an image in the masthead is to use a widget. You can do this by navigating to WP AdminAppearanceWidgets and add a SiteOrigin Image Widget (included in the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle) to your masthead widget area. Please note that this will hide your default masthead so you’ll need to recreate it.

I would recommend recreating it inside of a layout builder as that’ll give you more control.
