image compression gets lost with Page Builder

Hi there,

I use the Premium Vantage theme in combination with page builder. In order to optimize for SEO I runned the website at http://www.webpagetest.org/

As you will see all the images are not optimized. I tried to compress them with 2 other plugins (EWWW and smush.it) and to resize them offline to fit to the output on the screen (as well in the slider as in the page itself), but with no result however. Do you guys have any idea? I use MaxCDN as well to speed up the site, but now it gives me a extreme low loading time… :-(

Hope you have any idea how to solve this..

Cheers

Luca

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Luca

Page Builder should deliver images the same way the the Visual editor would. To confirm the timeline, did you add images to the site, then later, optimise them and then re-add them to the Media Library? Do you optimised images perhaps have new urls? Do you perhaps need to update your images on each page?

    Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your quick reply. Indeed I removed the pictures from the library, optimized them offline and uploaded them again.. Without result. After that I tried to optimize them with EWWW but also this no result. If you like I can email you the login so you can see it yourself?

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the feedback. Did your images not get a new url when you re-uploaded them? Let’s just check that.

    1. Please send me the url of an optimised image. Head to Media, click on the image, then grab the url from the right column box.

    2. Please send through a link to the page with that same image.

    Let’s just rule this out.

    Thanks
