Am getting the following error every time site content (page or post) is edited: Illegal string offset ‘class’ in /[redacted]/public_html/wp-content/plugins/site-editor/editor/extensions/pagebuilder/includes/pb-shortcodes.class.php on line 330
That was causing a 500 error on the server using PHP 7.3. With update to PHP 7.4, no longer get the 500 error, but the edits take a long time to save and we still get the error in the error log.
Looking in the /[redacted]/public_html/wp-content/plugins/site-editor/editor/extensions/pagebuilder/includes/ folder, we see another error log, that shows the following errors, though these errors appear to have stopped with the update to PHP 7.4:
PHP Warning: Cannot assign an empty string to a string offset in /[redacted]/public_html/wp-content/plugins/site-editor/editor/extensions/pagebuilder/includes/ajax_shortcode_pattern.php on line 131 and
PHP Warning: Illegal string offset ‘sed_model_id’ in /home2/ywcawpcw/public_html/wp-content/plugins/site-editor/editor/extensions/pagebuilder/includes/ajax_shortcode_pattern.php on line 120

Hi Cliff
Thanks for reaching out. Please, open a support thread with the author of the plugin in question. The plugin folder is named site-editor. I’m not sure of the plugin name though. Perhaps if you skim through your Plugins list you’ll find it. If you share a URL for a page impacted we can help to identify the plugin author if you’re stuck.
This looks to be it here https://wordpress.org/plugins/site-editor/.
Thanks.
Sure, no problem. If SiteOrigin questions arise in the future, please, let us know.
Cheers for now.
