iframe not hiding footer entirely

By Ace, 5 years ago. Last reply by Alex S, 5 years ago.

Hello,

I’m having trouble with hiding the footer entirely within an iframe. It hides a portion of the footer, but not all of it. I’m using the Vantage theme, and I’m hiding the footer using the following code:
.page-id-### .site-footer{
display: none;
}

Here is what the footer of my site looks like and directly above is a picture of the bottom of the iframe that wont respond to the display none. I know it’s a footer problem because when I change my footer color it changes as well.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ace,

    Do you have a public URL where we can take a closer look at what’s going on?

    Alex,

    Sorry it’s locally hosted per customers request until it’s finished. If there is something you want to see I can provide you some screenshots of code.

    This is the end of the iframe – https://i.imgur.com/73C5eZG.png

    End of the page – https://i.imgur.com/LEG0yAV.png

    Using Auto iFrame to get full height of page
    [auto-iframe link=http://localhost/site/page tag=shop1 width=100% height:100% scrolling=no autosize=yes]

    When using a regular iframe the bar is still there when I set the height past the widgets.

    The footer on the page itself is hidden when removed with CSS, but when iframed it shows the bar below.
    Upon trying to inspect it nothing comes up when I try and hover over it in chrome and firefox.

    This is what happens when I change the color of the footer of the page being iframed.
    .page-id-xxx #colophon {
    background:white;
    }

    I understand it’s something very rough to troubleshoot off of screenshots, but I have to respect their wishes of it not being hosted.
    Thanks for your time.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ace,

    Unfortunately, we really need to be able to inspect your website to be able to work out what is adding this spacing. Please let me know when your website is online and we’ll be able to assist further with removing this spacing.

    If I recreate it on a site I have up and running can you help fix the problem?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ace,

    Yes. We really just need to be able to inspect the resulting issue to work out the cause of it.
