IDs on indivudual items within Features

Hello,

Goal: Anchor links to individual items (divs with .sow-features-feature ) in the feature widget.

I’m trying to do some updating to a website created by someone else. I’m sort of tied to their design choices at the moment. They are using the Features widget to hold sections of content on their page. They would like to be able to jump to that section from a menu. I can not find a native way to add ID’s to the individual feature entries. I can only add one to the overall feature widget. In the text editor for the individual feature I can add an empty paragraph and give it an id, but when I jump to it, it scrolls past the icon and the header which is a little disorienting to the user because it looks like a random spot of text. I’d like to be able to jump to the top of the feature to display the icon & header.

My current work around is to add an empty paragraph with the target id. Then I give it a styling

margin-top: calc(-150px - 1em);
margin-bottom: calc(150px + 2em);

This works ok…… but I’m sure you’ll agree it’s a bit hacky.

Before I go down this route is there a way to get ids to the individual feature divs?

Bonus question : Even though I can’t really change it right now, was there a different widget that they should have chose?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Marc,

    Unfortunately, this isn’t possible at this time without some custom coding as we don’t apply ids to the individual features. I’ve marked this thread as a feature request. We often look through these threads to get ideas for what to add in our future updates. Hopefully, we’ll be able to add this in a future update.

    If you need this urgently, you could always post a job on Codeable.

    Regarding you’re follow up reply – maybe. I would need to inspect the setup to make this call.
