Icons Missing in WP DashBoard

Hello:

I have recently installed the SiteOrigin widget plugin for WP on version 4.7.3. I am using a staging site before I make my website live. I notice that when the widget plugin is enabled, many of my icons and text are missing from the WP dashboard.

Here are the steps that I have taken:

1. I disabled all plugins and restarted them one by one, so I know that the siteorigin bundle is the culprit.

2. I searched the support forum for similar issues, and checked that in WP my WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) are the same. I cannot change this setting anyway, as WP displays this notice: Note: This is your staging site and the domain cannot be changed.

3. I am viewing the dashboard on Google Chrome Version 57.0.2987.133 and I checked to make sure that Google Chrome is up to date. I cleared the cache and restarted chrome.

Oh, and if this helps, the following widgets automatically disable each time I activate the plugin: Call-To-Action, Contact Form, Image Grid, Price Table, Simple MAsonry Layout, Social Media Buttons and Taxonomy.

Are there any other steps that I can take? I am sure this must be something small. I don’t think it would be theme related, since this is a dashboard problem, but just in case I am running acmethemese Education Base Pro. I am using a child theme.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Metutel,

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

As you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

    Hello Alex:

    Thank you for your reply.

I have already determined that the SiteOrigin bundle is causing the problem by disabling and renabling the plugins.

I tried to change the theme to twenty sixteen and the WP dashboard was still missing icons, so this is not a theme-related problem.

I have actually pushed the site from staging to production. I dont know if this helps, but the URL is https://conquerthecoreny.com/.

    Thanks

    Hi Metutel,

I understand that you’re seeing results when temporarily disabling SiteOrigin Page Builder, however, you should still run a full plugin conflict test to see if something is conflicting with SiteOrigin Page Builder which is, in turn, causing us to have issues. I can assure you, this isn’t a known issue with our plugin which is why I’m suggesting a full plugin conflict test to identify what’s conflicting with SiteOrigin Page Builder.
