I selected a prebuilt template with the hope of just replacing the text with what I wanted. I click Insert and then “Replace Current”. When the checkmark is there, I click Insert again.
But I see nothing in the Live Editor, and nothing in the “Edit Page” page that will let me edit those fields.
I had managed to get the fields I wanted once, but then noticed that the WordPress Default Blog Header still appeared before the SiteOrigin Prebuilt template header.
Very confused.
Hi Editor,
It sounds like something is preventing the import. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
Regarding this,
That’s intended. To clarify, SiteOrigin Page Builder doesn’t hide theme elements as it’s designed to work alongside your theme rather than replace it. With that said, you can hide the undesired elements via CSS if desired.
