I created a Theme

2 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 2 years ago

Guys,

I created a Theme and it is working almost correctly, I noticed that if the “SiteOrigin Page Builder” plugin is not installed, nothing appears when editing the Theme.

1st How do I remove this “dependency” if I created it thinking about not using any dependent plugin?

2nd If there is no way, how can I set it to require its installation when installing the Theme?

Furthermore, Image Uploads in Personalization, such as Site Logo, are giving an error when clicking on Publish, it seems that it depends on another Plugin that I don’t know about yet… The message appears “It seems that something went wrong. Wait a few seconds and try again.”.

    Hi Luccas

    Thanks for posting your question.

I noticed that if the “SiteOrigin Page Builder” plugin is not installed, nothing appears when editing the Theme.
If possible, please take a screenshot to explain the above item and upload the screenshot to any cloud location. Please send us the link here; we’ll take a look and go from there.

A quick follow-up message. Hopefully, you’re making progress with your theme.

    Cheers

    Thanks,
I’m still looking for the dependency situation, I don’t know what the reason is.
BUT, if necessary, I will at least put the installation requirement at the beginning of the theme.

Thanks for the update. It’s hard to say what’s happened without doing a review, which is, unfortunately, beyond the scope of the free support offered here on the forum. You can try enabling WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG to check for PHP errors in the debug.log file when nothing appears.
