Hi,
I have a problem with updating page content. So, when I change something on my page and click update, then WordPress taking me to posts menu and my page is not updating.
How can I fix that?
Hi, thanks for reaching out.
There are a few possible causes. You could perhaps start by checking your hosting information. Please, check that you have spare space available in your hosting account.
Thanks for your answer, it turned out there is a lot of spare space available in my hosting account, what should i do next?
Thanks for the update. Here is another thread discussing the topic: https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/149872/wordpress-directing-to-posts-page-edit-php-instead-of-saving-post.
Before proceeding, it might be worth ruling out plugin involvement. To run that test, temporarily deactivate all plugins. In that state, does the issue persist?
When plugins are deactivated, everything works fine, I can update page content. I tried it before I asked for help. Sorry, should tell you about that in the first post.
Page doesn’t update only when the Page Builder plugin is activated.
The page I want to upgrade is made of widgets with text and images, so when I want to change the text and click update, then WordPress just taking me to the posts menu and nothing else happens.
Thanks for the update. Please, try redoing the test but with only Page Builder activated. Does the issue persist with all other plugins deactivated except for Page Builder?
It still happens even when there is only Page Builder activated.
Is it possible there is a problem with PHP? I mean, i see that i need to update it but i have a custom theme on my WordPress so im afraid it won’t work with updated PHP.
Thanks. If you’re able, it would be helpful to check the error logs for any indication of what’s happening. Here is how that can be done: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-set-up-wordpress-error-logs-in-wp-config/. Is that perhaps something you could do? If you don’t use an FTP client you can access your root WordPress folder via your hosting company’s File Manager.
Okay, so I don’t know if I have done everything right, but console shows something like that when i try to edit that page:
OSThttp://www.fasso.pl/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?_panelsnonce=5123ef9198
[HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request 272ms]
Is that the thing you asked me to look for, or should I try once again?
Hi. The console and PHP error logging are separate, both are useful.
Please, could you try sending the error to your hosts and ask them if they could kindly take a look? Perhaps you could ask them if ModSecurity or a similar module is producing a false positive?
Okay, so last update from me. I resolved the problem without help of my host. Thanks for your time Andrew!
That’s great news! Was it a simple fix?
Actually, it was a piece of cake, just installed Easy Appointment plugin and switched the compatibility mode on. Now everything works normal. Hope it isn’t just a temporary solution.
Thanks for the update. Glad to hear the problem is resolved :)
