I can’t edit buttons after creation

9 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 9 years ago

I have a weird issue going on. I use GeneratePress for all my sites, and your page builder. By the way – can I page something or support you on the Page Builder side? I love it :)

So – after creating a button, when I got back to edit it, I get the wheel of death, see silent video: video

I’ve cleared my cache, checked plugins etc, the standard bug checks. Any ideas?

    Hi Gabe

Thanks for reaching out, we appreciate the support.

Can you perhaps check your PHP memory usage percentage? I usually use this plugin to do so:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/server-ip-memory-usage/

The issue you’ve described is usually a memory usage or plugin conflict issue. If your memory usage is close to 100% then you could increase it from wp-config.php or ask your hosts to do that for you from your php.ini file.

Thanks for your offer, that’s very cool of you. We have a new premium offering coming in a month or so that’ll add various premium features across our range (Page Builder will always be free). When that comes out you could perhaps check it out and see if it’s something that’ll work for you. It comes with premium support too :)

Let me know how the above goes.

Thanks Andrew. We tracked down that the new Wordfence Version treats the edit as an unsafe script. So you have to put the Firewall in learning mode, and then do the work, and it will learn it’s safe.

Thanks for the offer on the premium offer. Please do let me know when it comes out as I’d like to purchase something from your team if we can :)

That would be great, thanks for your interest. We don’t send out many announcements, you might consider signing up to our newsletter to hear about things like the SiteOrigin Premium plugin:
