html adds to text not saving/working

i’m using origami theme and am trying to make some format changes in the text editor. but my html adds are not being saved when i clicked update. help.

    Hi

    Please keep in mind that if you edit theme files via Appearance > Editor and are not working in a child theme your changes will be lost the next time you upgrade Origami.

    If the editor is not saving it could be a file permissions issue, please check those: http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions.

    If you only need to edit CSS rather use a Custom CSS plugin or the module in Jetpack. Our tutorial on Custom CSS changes can be found here: https://siteorigin.com/basics/modifying-theme-design-with-custom-css/.
