How To Stop Resizing Images in Header and Footer? (Vantage Premium)

I insert small images in header and footer, and Vantage Premium changes their size. It makes them a little larger, and they become blurry! When I view the images in the browser by themselves, they are normal.

How do I stop Vantage from making my images larger? I see the point of resizing large images for the mobile screen, but I don’t want it to make my small images bigger…

Please help!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi

    If this is still live please send through a link to your site and I’ll take a look.

    Thanks

    Here’s the link:

    The top right picture (with text and phone # in it) is clearly distorted in Firefox. When I right-click and choose “View Image”, it’s smaller and looks normal (not blurry). Same with Facebook and Yelp buttons in the footer.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Please try inserting this under Appearance > Custom CSS:

    /* Header */

    header#masthead hgroup .logo img {
    padding: 0 !important;
    }

    You’ll then need to head to Appearance > Customize > General: Header Padding and increase that a little to compensate.

    I don’t see any re-sizing in the footer right now though.

    I inserted it and it shrunk the padding, but the top right header image is still resized & blurry!

    Another thing I discovered is when I resize the browser window to make it really small (like a vertically held smartphone), the top right header image becomes normal (not blurry)! How can I make this image look like this in a regular size browser?

    Hi, I Work Here

    As I see it in my browser (OS X, Chome, latest versions), your header sidebar image is being displayed at 314 x 100 which is the size of the image. Let me know which operating system and browser you’re using and I’ll take a look.

    Windows Vista, Firefox 30.0

    Here’s the screenshot of how it looks in my browser: http://yourwebsiteasap.com/tacticalsecure/screenshot.jpg (make sure to zoom in so it’s the actual size)
    Here’s the image in question viewed separately: http://yourwebsiteasap.com/tacticalsecure/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/phone.png

    I looks like the image is definitely RESAMPLED in the browser version.

    Now, here’s the screenshot that shows that the image looks CORRECT when I resize the browser to the smallest phone size. It really changes the minute I hit that small browser size (480px?)

    Hi, I Work Here

    Please can you check that your browser zoom is set to zero. It looks like your page might zoomed.

    You are right! I zoomed out the browser and now the image looks correct! Thank you so much!
