How to rearrange featured image in a post

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

Hi,

I just want to ask how can I rearrange the position of the featured image in a post so as to make it:
– Post Title
– Featured Image
– Date, Author

Currently, it is arranged as:
– Featured Imaged
– Post Title
– Date, Author

I have provided the link to a post for an example

    Hey Version Daily

This will require a child theme, let me see if I can work this up for you quickly.

    Here we go:

    https://github.com/siteorigin/vantage-child/tree/feature/single-post-title-before-thumbnail

In the right column is a download button. The ZIP can be installed from Appearance > Themes > Add New: Upload Theme.

If you are familiar with FTP rather upload the un-zipped folder manually to /wp-content/themes/ . That way you can rename the folder to just “vantage-child” in order to keep things a little neater.

Test it out. If it works you’ll unfortunately need to:

    Re-apply Customizer settings.
    Re-save your menu location setting.

These are expected results after activating a child theme.
