How to insert new divisions in Siteorigin Unwind template

Hi,

I’m currently building a blog using a child theme based on SiteOrigin Unwind theme.

At the home page, I wish to
1. include a 3 column feature posts below the feature slider (similar to Kale theme)
2. change the blog feed layout to be same as the layout of Unwind search result (image float left, text float right)
3. include a 3 column posts, display based on categories at the footer

Is it possible to do so with SiteOrigin widget/ moving which codes around?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Joysofyz,

    1. This is possible with the help of the Post Loop Widget. Please open the page you wish to add this effect and add a new row right at the top of the page. Add two Post Loop widgets and open the first post loop.

    Set the Template to Posts Slider and then open the Posts Query. Set the Posts Per Page to the number of posts you wish to show in the slider (for example, 3) and then click Done.

    Open the second Post Loop and set the Template to Blog Grid. Open the Posts Query and set the Additioanl field to offset=3 – replace 3 with the number of posts you set to show in the slider. Set Posts Per Page to 3.

    Head over to the widget styles sidebar and open the Attributes settings group. Set the widget Class to loop-no_pagination and then save the page.

    Please navigate to WP Admin > Appearance > Custom CSS and add the following CSS:

    .loop-no_pagination .posts-navigation {
    	display: none;
    }

    You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.

    2. Please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceCustomize, Theme SettingsBlog and set the Blog Archive Layout to Alternate.

    3. Unfortunately, this isn’t possible without a fair amount of custom coding. This is beyond the scope of what we can help you with on our forums, but you could hire a developer to implement this for you. We recommend using Codeable. You’ll be able to hire someone at an hourly rate to do this work for you. Sorry mate. :(
