How to create single page posts using Page Builder: Need More Tag Equivalent

Dear Developers,

I am using the Origami theme for my website and blog, cherylmcalister.com. I love the simplicity and elegance of the design. I also really like Page Builder for designing custom pages within my site. I am not a developer, and Page Builder helps me design in ways that would otherwise be impossible. I have found a minor shortcoming, however, that I hope you can fix in the near future.

In order for the comments dialog box to show up at the end of a blog post one must use single pages. To do this in the regular WP Text Editor you add a “more tag.” Unfortunately, more tags do not work in Page Builder. If you make a particularly long blog post within the PB visual editor field you cannot use this function. Andrew Misplon has explained to me that this is because Page Builder stores its data in a “different variable.” I hope you will work on remedying this issue in your next iteration of PB.

I am wowed by the simplicity and elegance of your designs, and Page Builder is a great tool. I am also very happy with the prompt assistance I have received as a Premium user. I’ll be thrilled when this minor glitch is fixed.

Thank you for your hard work.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Cheryl

    Thanks for reaching out.

We appreciate the feature suggestion. Page Builder has historically been used as a layout tool for pages, this has something to do with the more tag issue not being tackled yet. We do have this marked as a feature for the developers to attend to. They usually have a short to medium term roadmap in front of them so unfortunately, this isn’t something we’re likely to see rolled out in the short term.

Sorry we don’t have better news here.

Hi Andrew. I understand. I’ll work around it. Truthfully, it makes me feel better knowing I wasn’t doing something wrong or missing something. I love the Origami Theme, and the ability to design pages with Page Builder is a huge plus. I’ll still be using this theme when your developers get around to a “more tag” equivalent widget.

Thanks for your help and very prompt responses. I greatly appreciate it.

    Best,

    Cheryl
