How to clear whitespace between Vantage menu bar and a hero widget?

I’m a newbie and have been struggling with exactly the same problem, although my white space is between the menu and the hero widget. Following the steps described by Andrew, I’ve now only got 50% of the whitespace remaining, which leads me to believe that I need to reduce the top margin of the row (containing the hero widget) to 0. I go into Page Builder, select the wrench icon to edit the row and click on layout. But it doesn’t appear to allow me to set the top margin, only the bottom? Any other thoughts as to the problem?
