Theme : Vantage : Woocommerce : Paypal gateway
I’m interested in changing the text of the “Proceed with PayPal” button upon checkout. It can be confusing to my site visitors who would like to pay with a debit/credit card without having to set up a PayPal account.
I already have a CSS there change the button color to the layout/design of my site.
I want to chage the button text “Proceed with PayPal” to “Betal”
Hi Flemming
I’m afraid this is a little outside of our wheel house. I see the question being asked a few times:
https://support.woothemes.com/hc/communities/public/questions/202791506-How-do-I-change-the-text-of-the-Proceed-with-PayPal-button-
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/change-the-text-on-the-payapal-gateway-proceed-button
But unfortunately no good answers yet. Posting on the WooCommerce forum would be my recommendation here.
Hi Andrew
Thanks for your reply … well and ok, I understand its outside from SiteOrigin !
… the link you send me, its my question in WooThemes !
I was just hope for some help here ! … anyway, have a nice day.
I can understand your frustration here for sure. If I had an immediate answer for you here I’d certainly let you know the solution. As much as I’d like to go research this topic, we operate with a very small team. We try to provide prompt and helpful support, sometimes this unfortunately means sticking to our own plugins and themes so we have enough time to help everyone out.
Thanks Andrew … you, and Greg are doing a outstanding work and support…
– keep up the good work, and I fully understand my tropic is out of your field.
UPDATE !
After lots of work … I have found the solution, and maybe this can help other with a text they want to change.
The solution can help … to translate or write your own text where you want in any Plugins.
….. first, to change the text on the Paypal button is very easy if you use US language :
just go to /wp/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/gateways/paypal/class-wc-gateway-paypal.php
edit the php file – make you change – and save … all well done ( for us language ! )
But the problem with and all kind of language is that the mo file ( po ) files overide the php.
So you have to make the changes in the mo files …. and to do this ( the most easy way ) – so all can to it without
any programming is to use to plugin : http://wordpress.org/plugins/codestyling-localization
This plugin works super … and are very easy to use … no problems with theme vantage and WP ver. 3.9.2
Hope the maybe can help other !
Awesome! Really glad to hear you managed to find a way forward. Thanks so much for sharing your process here. The forum is already helping users search and get quick answers so solutions like this are much appreciated.
All the best.
