Hello,
I’m wondering how can I easily change a background ‘border’ color. Every time I choose to change background color, it changes the entire color of the entire page. But I just want the outter background changed, not the text background.

Hi, thanks for reaching out.
Could you perhaps take a screenshot and indicate the part of the page you’re looking to change. You can upload screenshots to imgur.com or any similar location and send us the link.
Hi Andrew,
I don’t have any image to upload at this time, but just picture like having a picture frame color around the entire page. I think that’s easy enough to understand what I’m trying to get at.
Like having a picture frame in the form or a color around the entire page.
The space outside of the border of a page. I think it’s called the margin.
Hi, thanks for your reply and information. North, unfortunately, isn’t set up to target the content area with a background color via theme settings. The center container could be targetted with Custom CSS but it would require a few extra adjustments to add the appropriate padding so that the background color extended a bit beyond the text and didn’t end immediately where the text ends. This is the sort of customization we can assist with within our SiteOrigin Premium support scope where the budge allows it`, it’s unfortunately beyond the scope of support we’re able to offer here on the forums.
That seems like a basic feature that should have been included, especially in a page builder.
This challenge has to do with the theme’s design. North wasn’t coded with a boxed mode in mind. The container is there it just doesn’t have padding and a matching setting to target its background color.
